8 day block Foundation Stage

Hello!
 
If you are learning at home for any reason, and feel well, look below where you will see 8 days of great learning.
 
If you are quarantining or self-isolating we hope that you will be able to get stuck into phonics and reading, writing, number, understanding the world and some physical activity as well as all of the other things you do at school. Just click on the blue links or the attachments and try your best!

Knowledge and understanding of the world.  Looking at flowers or plants in your home or garden, take a look at the different parts.  Can you name them?  Draw or take a photo of your favourite plants.

Knowledge and understanding of the world.  How is your seed doing?  Does your plant need anything to help it grow? Can you see any changes yet, or a shoot?  If so can you draw your pot and what is growing and write Day 5 on it.

Knowledge and understanding of the world.  What is happening in your plant pot?  Check your plant has what it needs to grow well.  Draw and label a picture of what you can see! How many days has it been growing? Write this next to your picture.
Day 8

Knowledge and understanding of the world.  Listen to the story Lulu loves flowers.  Can you make a collection or book of your favourite plants and flowers? You can stick, cut, draw and write.
Reading 
 
Find the links for online reading resources below and select a book at your child's book band level, which will be pink (blending letters to make words) or red (beginning to read sentences). Do email your child's teacher if you need advice.
Mindfulness   Looking out: try cloud gazing!  Even though you're at home, it'll be great to breathe fresh air through the window, standing on the doorstep or in a garden.  Open your window or lie on your back and get cloud gazing! Look at the clouds in the sky. Can you see a face? Can you see a unicorn? Can you see a fairy-tale castle? Can you see a whale or a dolphin? What do the clouds make you think of? Can you make up a stories to link the different things you can see?
 
PE   Stay Active, Keep Moving:
Dance with Oti and Work Out with Andy and his wild friends to keep your body healthy and active.  Check out Go Noodle to get moving along with your favourite songs, or learn some new types of movement.
 
PSHE / Assembly of the Week

Which roads do you cross? who helps you? what can help you to stay safe?
 
Draw a picture of you crossing the road safely, you could even add a little hedgehog crossing safely too!

Watch it again, using the link below, and answer the questions that pop up during the first half of the video. 

Look out for a message that pops up after the questions as this is where the activities and discussion points begin...you may want to stop there if you did these last time or otherwise have another go or try it for the first time. It's important to learn how to be safe online so it is a good use of your time.
