As an exploratory Nursery, adults spend most of their day playing alongside the children. At our recent inspection the Nursery was recognised as ‘outstanding’ and since then it has been getting better and better!
The Nursery places a high emphasis on speaking and listening and offers a friendly and sincere welcome to parents and children. If parents stay around to play for a short while that is fine, usually around 9.15am we meet for a ‘Hello Circle’ and plan the day.
Nursery sessions are 8.45 – 12.00 or 12.30 – 3.00pm or 8.45 -3.00pm with a packed lunch at midday (provided from home).
Families can access 15 hours free entitlement to Nursery education and where available can purchase additional hours - please contact the school office for an up-to-date cost per hour.
Contact the Infant School office for an application form or to arrange a Nursery tour ~ we look forward to meeting you.

The School Admissions Code of Practice recommends that priority be given to ‘Looked After’ children when setting over subscription criteria. In light of this, the following over subscription criteria are proposed, for determining the allocation of places where there are more applications than places available:
- Children who are in Public Care (Looked After Children)
- Children living in the school’s designated area with a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of admission.
- Other children living in the school’s designated area.
- Children living outside the school’s designated area, but with a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of admission
- Other children living outside the school’s designated area
If it is necessary to distinguish between children in a particular category, priority will be determined by the age of the child i.e. the earlier the date of birth, the higher the priority.
Priority may be given (with approval of Senior Officers) to the admission of a child for whom an exceptional medical or social justification is demonstrated.
