School Sports Teams

22nd Feb 2016 Netball Tournament Report

The A team (blacks) came 2nd over all and have silver medals to show and share. They were a credit to the school made us all, including mrs Rendell, Liz proud.

The B team (whites) never gave up despite suffering some heavy defeats. They played 6 games and said all they wanted to do was score...then finally they scored. Their confidence was boosted and then went on to win the last 2 games - they really did get better as the afternoon went on.

In very cold conditions the teamwork and togetherness was fab by all the girls and both teams. Best of all though, after several attempts we finally beat Pinhoe!

Monday 18th January 2016

Two big games in the new kit took place this week with the team playing really well in very cold conditions and winning both. Even more pleasing for Mr Mead & Mr McKimm was the fact that we did not concede a goal – Harry Carr kept 2 clean sheets.

The first game saw us start well but struggle initially to score. However we kept going and eventually broke the Ladysmith defence down – we won 2-nil with goals from Bradley Carpenter and Antoine Rannou.

In our second game we beat Bowhill 3-nil. We played with much more confidence and goals came quickly from Brad again with 2 and 1 from Max May.

Overall James Geale gets this months star man for his determination and pace on the right wing!
