Starting School - Foundation Stage

STARTING AT THE INFANT SCHOOL September 2021 or January 2022
Although life still feels rather different, through a range of protective measures we are working around the challenges of lockdown in order to warmly welcome you to school.
Thank you for your interest in our school, we hope that short videos and information across the website will give you a sense of our school and what it is like to be a learner here.
The 2021-22 application to school period falls during this second lockdown and although school is open and learning and growing up continues, one of the protective measures keeping us all safe is reducing the number of visitors on-site.
This is the reason why we are offering a 'virtual tour' of the school which we hope will help you decide the school for your child.
You'll see some inspiring glimpses of what we get up to inside and the names and faces of some of the staff who teach in the Foundation Stage.
Just as soon as it is safe to do so, we will extend welcome interested families to view the school in person.
We hope you understand and look forward to meeting you at some safe, future point.

Welcome to the Foundation Stage
The 'Foundation Stage' is the name of the first year of school for your child.
This first year of school provides a firm 'foundation' for learning. It is filled with learning through play, inside and outside. Look how little feet wore away the grass in the summer - in the autumn it is a bit muddy but used just the same, just with wellies on!
Click on the link/blue bars below and take a look at the photo stories and take a peep inside our school.
What can you see? Talk to your grown up about starting school.
Come back and look again, anytime!
