Starting School - Foundation Stage

STARTING AT THE INFANT SCHOOL September 2020

Although life still feels rather different, we are working around the challenges of lockdown and social distancing in order to warmly welcome you to school.

We are looking forward to you and your child joining the Foundation Stage in September and becoming part of Stoke Hill Federation.

Our Federation includes Stoke Hill Nursery School, the Infant and the Junior Schools. Together we work hard to make sure that everyone experiences a smooth transition from 3 right though to 11.

This page is just for you and we hope you will find it useful!

There is lots to discover about the school, so visit this page regularly as we will post new items of interest to you.

Share the short media clip of the Foundation Stage classes with your child as you look forward to joining us.

Welcome to the Foundation Stage

The 'Foundation Stage' is the name of the first year of school for your child.

This first year of school provides a firm 'foundation' for learning. It is filled with learning through play, inside and outside. Look how little feet have worn away the grass!

Click on the link/blue bar below and take a look at the photo story to take a peep inside your new school.

What can you see? Talk to your grown up about starting school.
(please note that the photos were taken pre-social distancing!)

Come back and look again, anytime!
