We are looking to appoint 2 experienced Teaching Assistants.  These are fixed term appointments linked to EHCP funding for specific support for pupils with special educational needs and as such are subject to the child's continued attendance at the school.
These roles will support the learning, nurture and social skills of 2 individual children in Key Stage 2.   The successful candidates will have the skills to build secure relationships in a 1:1 environment whilst ensuring a consistent approach.  Experience of implementing strategies outlined in an EHCP would be beneficial and to be prepared to work in a range of learning environments.  Applicants should be kind, caring, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team whilst using your own initiative.  You will need to be a good communicator and must therefore have an excellent understanding of both verbal and written English language.  The job is 1:1 to support the child in the classroom alongside the class teacher and at times other pupils in the class and staff across the school.
To commence as soon as possible pending appointment and the safer recruitment checks, ideally early January 2021.

We are a happy, busy school with a vibrant multicultural dimension and the staff are a great team who work together and support one another to achieve the best for the children.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.

Please complete the application form and diversity form and return to Melissa Barton, Stoke Hill Junior School, Stoke Hill, Exeter, EX4 7DP or to melissa.barton@ by the closing date.
